Our.Marines.com is accepting submissions from across the nation about the connection between the Marine Corps and America. Please follow these guidelines closely to help ensure we can include your submission on our site.

MARINES - What’s the one thing that makes your experience as a Marine most worthwhile? What’s the biggest contribution you’ve made to our nation as a Marine? Tell us why you serve and share your story with America.

AMERICA - Have you been inspired by a Marine in your life? Tell us why the Marine Corps matters to you and show your support for our Marines.

Keep in mind, every submission to Our.Marines.com has the potential to become a featured story on the site. Only content suitable for all ages will be accepted for posting. Once accepted, all the content on Our.Marines.com is available to download and share, which means your story could be passed on and viewed by the public.

All submissions will be screened by the Marine Corps and the Our.Marines.com administrators, then accepted or rejected for posting. Using copyrighted or obscene material is automatic grounds for rejection.

Submission and Approval

• Unless otherwise noted, personal information is for verification purposes only.
• A valid email address is required for all submissions.
• A confirmation message will be sent to the email address provided with a link for confirmation.
• Submissions will not be approved if there is no response to the confirmation email.
• Submissions to Our.Marines.com will be acknowledged by a confirmation page. Content is not submitted until this page is displayed.
• All submissions will be reviewed by the site administrator.
• All approved submissions will be followed up with an email from the site.
• Submissions must not contain copyrighted or obscene material.
• Submissions will be accepted or rejected in full; there are no partial approvals.

Accepted Video Formats

• We accept the following popular formats:
  • AVI (.avi file extension)
  • QuickTime (.mov file extension)
  • MP4 (.mpg, .mpeg, .mp4 file extensions)
• Your video must meet these minimum technical requirements:
  • Video Codec H.264, DivX, Xvid, or MP4
  • Audio Codec MP3
  • File size not to exceed 30 MB
  • Video should not exceed 2 minutes in length
  • 480x360 Resolution
  • Video must not contain copyrighted or obscene material

Accepted Image Formats

• Our.Marines.com accepts two types of files for product images; TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) and JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group).
• Remove layers from all images before submitting.
• Our.Marines.com cannot accept images submitted in the following formats:
  • .EPS (Encapsulated Postscript File)
  • .GIF (Graphic Interchange Format)
  • .BMP (Windows Bitmap)
  • .PNG (Portable Network Graphics)
  • or .PDF (Portable Document Format)
• Files proprietary to a specific software application are unacceptable, including:
  • .PSD (Native Photoshop Files),
  • .IA (Adobe Illustrator),
  • .ART (America Online)
  • .CDR (CorelDRAW)
  • .CPT (Corel Paint)
  • .FH (Macromedia Freehand)
  • .FLA (Flash)
  • .PICT (MAC OSX default)
  • .PSP (Paint Shop Pro)
  • .DOC (Microsoft Word)­
• For best results submit images to Our.Marines.com with minimal or no compression. For JPEG images, save at the highest possible quality level and avoid resaving in JPEG format while editing the image. For TIFF files, do not apply any file compression.
• Images will not be cropped or otherwise edited by the site administrator.
• Images must not contain copyrighted or obscene material.
