I left home in October 2004 not knowing what I was going to experience over the next 4 years. I knew that whatever it was, it probably wouldn't be easy, but it definitely would be worth it. Over 4 years later I don't regret my decision. It was terribly hard to leave back then, my family, my friends, my girlfriend... but looking back on it all, it was worth it. My family made it just fine, I've made new friends, and my girlfriend became my wife. I have to thank the Marine Corps for the wonderful experiences I've had over the past 4 plus years.
