The Learning Never Stops
LCPL ZACHARIAH CROUCH 1:13
This is one of the tightest brotherhoods I’ve ever been a part of. And through the season, it just gets tighter and tighter. And with all the traveling we’ve done, all the places that we’ve gone, it’s a good experience, especially when you’re with a platoon of Marines like this.
When you come to work, you’re at work. But outside of that, when you’re on your off hours, I compare it to being like a varsity high school football team: we’re very tight, we’ll do anything for anybody, give the shirt off our backs for anybody.
Everywhere we’ve went it’s all been a new experience for me, someplace I’ve never been before. And all of it’s just been eye-opening. Really has.
The learning never stops. It never stops for us. They always bring something new to the table every day we come to work. No other unit in the Marine Corps, really, has experience with the public like we do. And for that, that was a real eye-opener to see, you actually meet and greet with these people, and the people that you’re fighting for and standing for, and you meet everybody, every shape, size, age, gender, everything. And it’s good to see that there are people standing behind you. That means a lot to us. It really does. Especially, all of us are infantry Marines, so I mean, that really, really just… that means a lot to us.
